FRIENDS of a seriously-ill mum-of-four have organised a charity football match tonight to raise funds to send her on a family holiday.
Sonia Buck won't be able to attend the series of matches today featuring one of her sons who plays for the Bristol Rovers Academy – but organiser Cathy Fry hopes the money raised will help speed her recovery.
Mrs Buck, 44, from St Anne's is nearing the end of heavy chemotherapy treatment which has seen a reduction in the cancer from which she is suffering and will then face a nervous wait to see if it returns.
Her friends want to send her to Florida for a family holiday after a hard few years in which Mrs Buck was diagnosed with cancer for the second time and her husband Nick was made redundant from Cadbury's.
