Yaya Toure has recently returned to Manchester City and the Etihad Stadium after having spent some time playing and representing his country Ivory Coast at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in January. Before YayaToure had left Manchester City, the English club was competing side by side with Chelsea as both teams had the same amount of points as each squad had collected a total of 46 points, this was on New Year’s Day. Things began to fall apart for Manchester City after Toure left as the team of Manuel Pellegrini began to drop crucial points as they lost 2 matches as well as being unable on winning a number of games and having to settle with a number of draws. The dependence that Manchester City has on YayaToure has grown into a level that it affects the team way too much as the team of Manuel Pellegrini is one of the top spenders in the Premier League after having spent €220 million from the summer of 2012 until February of 2015. Manchester City’s chances on winning the Premier League title in this season are now in danger as Manuel Pellegrini’s men are not in the same position where they once were a few months ago. Wilfried Bony cost City €25 million and the player will have to start making a big impact in the team immediately in order to help his new club in reaching their objectives of the current season but things are not looking so well for City as Chelsea is firing from all cylinders and are stepping closer to the league title as each week passes by and the absence of YayaToure has been too much for Manuel Pellegrini and his team who are now behind Chelsea in the Premier League by a substantial amount of points. |
